My fat loss journey

I've been thinking for a long time about doing something about my ever growing bodyfat, but I very much enjoyed eating junk food at any time of the day and night and in any amount, it was just delicious!

Anyway, so now I had to stop everything because knowing myself as well as I do, I can't expect me to stick to a moderate slow down in my feeding habits, it's like when I stop smoking many years ago, I had to do it suddenly (but after much thoughts) and totally, no slowing down..

Adam WatersSo, what has been very helpful is discovering the story of Adam Waters, an Australian guy living in Japan, who went on a physique transformation journey after 6 years of failures. He began his journey on november, 8th 2006 and used the Metabolic Surge program which I have downloaded and I'm following right now. He did the whole program 2 times and then did a program focused on abs.

I started in early september to prepare myself to the program by going to the gym, doing weight lifting and cardio, following the preparation in the Metabolic Surge ebook. Then I started on 5th october to follow the Level 1 program (it is a light version of the full program) and I plan on directly doing another time the program at full scale when I finish the first session.

Here's how it works on the nutritional side: there are 3 phases of calories switching, 5 days of low carbs, 2 days of nutriment isolation (one day protein only and one day carbs only) and then 5 days of low fat. That's 12 days, and it's repeated 3 times. Then follows 10 days of rest (eating three nutriments in moderate amount of course)

On the exercice side it's based on weight lifting with short time between sets, often mixed with cardio. For instance, you do 40 seconds on a cardio machine and then go back to your weights and do another set, then immediatly come back to the cardio machine. Of course that can work when you have both weight and cardio machine readily available. So I've asked for the calm times in my gym, it's beginning of afternoon and sunday mornings.

Today I'm on the 4th day of low carbs and no there's no hunger sensation because I have to eat regularly, every 3 hours is best, so there's no time to feel hungry. The only problem of course is the kind of food I eat, they've nothing to do with the delicious junk food I was used to. Now it's eggs, thuna and things like that. My sweets on the low carb phase are when I eat 15g of whole almonds, hahaha, yes only 15g because I weight my food now :-)

So, of course now I'm following Adam Waters though his blog regularly as he closes on his first anniversary of physique transformation in one month. Since I'm doing it right now, I'm sure I'll talk about fat loss in my blog, so if that doesn't interest you or you have already done all the research, you can ignore my posts. :-)

Balance diet and lose weight

Balance diet and lose weight should be both adequate and wholesome. Fibers is a necessary component of healthy diet. If your on a diet, you should consumed appropriate amount of all nutrients and adequate amount of water.
