I'm reporting today on the Metabolic Surge diet and training program I've been following and the fat loss results I got. I'm definitively happy about it if you want just a quick summary, I'm happy of the results, it's boring to do because eating anything whenever I wanted was way funnier, but that's life, I now get my kick out of thinking about how lean and muscular I can get if I put my mind to it, it's just a switch of perspective, I'm not there yet but I'm confident I can do it because I know have a recipe for success...
Quick reminder: Metabolic Surge is a 46 days fat loss program, including 36 days of specific diet / training and 10 days of "rest" with a more relaxed nutrition and lighter training schedule with no cardio.
In the month of september 2007 I followed the preparation program in order to get my body up and running and then I started Metabolic Surge on 5th october. I started the Level , the "light" version of the program, so that the workout exercices were less demanding than the full program. I then finished the 36 days of diet on 9th november and after 10 days of rest with only strength building workouts (2 days on, 2 days off) I started Metabolic Surge again, but this time the full, more demanding, program.
I feel completely up to the task of the full program, during the Level 1, I used to compare the two versions and actually one day I made a mistake and printed out the workout schedule of the day of the full program and realized it only after coming back from the gym and I felt the difference with increased number of reps and shorter rest periods.. This time I feel OK for this and I'm motivated as well because I got results from following Metabolic Surge Level 1.
I have lost weight and visibly increased my muscles, so since I guess my muscles weight more than before, I lost more fat than what the scale is showing, because a larger part of my weight is now made of muscles. Of course I still have fat to lose and I wouldn't mind more muscles, but I know that's what is going to happen simply by going on with the program. There is no two ways in this, it can only happen, because before going on this physique transformation journey I was eating what I wanted whenever I wanted, now I eat only some types of food and never the ones with both carbs and fat inside (those are the better for taste) but instead those who have mainly protein and either carbs or fat, depending on the days. There is one cheat meal (or reward meal) every 12 days, so don't you worry at this moment I really binge on something stupid, I don't pass on the cheat meal!!!
So my results are:
- more muscles like on my arms it's very clear, biceps and triceps have woken up, then my legs and surely others like the chest but my arms are those I see most often.
- less fat on my arms, face and belly/waist mostly. I think it will be good to see more of it go away because it will help with seeing more of the muscles, but I'm aware that this Metabolic Surge full program won' be enough and that I'll still have work to do on that fat.
This full program training will end on 5th january, and I know I won't be ok with the results, of course it will be better than now and way way better than before I started this journey, but still not enough. So I don't know yet, I have to decide sometime in december what I'm going to do... either start again Metabolic Surge full program for a third time in a row or do something else, but what? I really hope the results will be good during this session of Metabolic Surge program once again so that I can find the motivation to do it one more time.
If I do it one more time it would finish on 20th february, by then I'd have been on the Metabolic Surge program for 4 months, which seems probably a lot, I'm pretty confident that in 4 months of this, if I'm not ill then I'll do a big progress. At the moment that's the most likely conclusion I'll make during december to decide what I'm going to do next when this session of Metabolic Surge ends on 5th january.
In any case, now I don't think I'm going to give it up anytime soon, so being overweight might become a thing of the past quite soon and hopefully stay that way for some time. I'm pretty positive at the moment, which wasn't so sure at the start of my journey, even back in august when I was thinking about it and buying the ebook online. Now I know a recipe for success and I've tested a light version of it with visible success and I'm testing the full version right now. Of course the food is boring, a pizza will always taste better than plain tuna, but it's ok, I can find how good some eggs taste or some tuna mixed with salad or other things. Before I couldn't, there were so many better choice for good taste! But now with limited options, I think tuna is way better than shit for exemple!
I recommend Metabolic Surge, if you're hesitating, don't. The good thing about it is that you simply have to follow, no need to think about when to go to the gym or what to do once you're there, you simply follow like a robot, for me it's good. And for the food, you have some effort to do to find out which food are best for protein, which ones have low carbs or low fat, but this is available online and in the ebook, so just eat what nutriments you're supposed to on the different days. Also buy the supplement, like Whey Protein Powder, Glutamine and Creatine, as well as some general vitamins and fish oil, just get that in your body and move on!
This can only work better than going on eating what you want whenever you want, and going to the gym whenever you feel like it to do just a little bit of exercices and go back home.

Hey James, I need some help!

Hello Tasha, I don't think
Hello Tasha, I don't think you are following the metabolic surge program I'm talking about in my blog post, are you?
Because in the ebook everything is explained and there's a meal plan too.
Metabolic surge is playing with nutriments, you cycle through a diet high in carbs, high in protein, high in fat, but you alternate them of course. Like when you have high fat you don't have carbs, just a minimum. When you have high carbs, you surely don't eat fat. Protein is the backbone of the program because it is meant to help you grow muscles a little as you're burning body fat.
The cycle is 12 days long, with 3 periods inside. The program is 3 cycles and 10 days rest, which makes 46 days, each one counts since the meal plan is related to the exercices, so that for exemple when you're on the protein only day there's no cardio, no weight lifting.
This program is good, maybe the least of the reasons is because as you're following it, you're not overeating and you're doing some real exercice.
Cheers,
James
I agree with you, James. I
I agree with you, James. I have gone through the ebook on Metabolic Surge Program and it is different from what you see here. This is really a good program and you are assured of losing some pounds. I have tried it out and it worked.
